The Oscar Roadtrip stops in D.C.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences launched Oscar Roadtrip this week to build buzz for the big show. Thursday, fans were able to hold him, take pictures with him and even give pretend acceptance speeches.

A man who preferred to remain anonymous held the Oscar aloft near the White House. This particular statuette will be given out at a future Academy Awards, but not this year's.
