D.C. high schools compete in FIRST robotics competition

At least 10 D.C.-based schools entered this year's FIRST competition, which was dubbed the "Ultimate Ascent". Teams were challenged to build remote control robot to "fling Frisbee-type discs through targets and climb 10-foot-tall pyramids for extra points."

Jacob, 12, sat with his father Matthew Vesperman and watched his older brother Jeremy compete as part of the Virginia-based Robo Hamsters.
