D.C. high schools compete in FIRST robotics competition

At least 10 D.C.-based schools entered this year's FIRST competition, which was dubbed the "Ultimate Ascent". Teams were challenged to build remote control robot to "fling Frisbee-type discs through targets and climb 10-foot-tall pyramids for extra points."

A robot with RTR Team Robotics from Springfield, Va. chased another with the Bulldogs from Chantilly, as both tried to scramble up one of two pyramids for extra points.
