Alex Parker

Alex Parker is the Host of SportsTalk on News Channel 8, as well as ‘Game Day’ and ‘After the Game’ on Sundays.

He also serves as the Executive Sports Producer at ABC7/WJLA-TV and News Channel 8. He has covered local and national sports at the stations for nearly two decades; and is a 7-time Emmy Award winner and 3-time Edward R. Murrow Award winner.

He was born in Arlington, Va. and grew up in Rehoboth Beach, Del. He credits his mom Judy for his avid love of sports.

Alex is a passionate sports journalist who enjoys bringing viewers the human side of the story going that go way beyond the statistics and the final score.
In his spare time he loves listening to music and playing drums.

Alex is a graduate of University of Delaware. He lives with his wife Michelle (who met as co-workers at ABC7!) and their two daughters in Howard County, Md.
