Arch Campbell “The Arch Campbell Show” Host

Arch Campbell

I've reported on movies, theater, and entertainment in Washington, D.C., since the 1970s. I moved here from Dallas to work for WRC-TV News and stayed there 32 years. ABC 7/WJLA hired me in 2007.

Now I appear Mondays and Thursdays on ABC7 News at 5, plus segments on Good Morning Washington and the Friday night ABC7 News at 11. I appear several times a week on NewsChannel 8 and I host The Arch Campbell Show — a half hour entertainment/comedy show that airs Thursdays and Fridays at 8:30 p.m., with reruns on Saturday morning and Saturday night at 10:30 pm.

I grew up in San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in radio/television/film and a master's degree in journalism. I really love what I do here at ABC7 and NewsChannel 8. Watching a great movie still gives me a thrill.
