Britt McHenry is a sports reporter for ABC7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8. She is also the host of News Channel 8's High School Sports Final.
She started her career in Washington as a community reporter for NewsChannel 8 where she also anchored weekend morning shows. Prior to joining the team, Britt earned her master’s degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
At Medill, she spent time shooting, editing, and reporting in downtown Chicago for the Medill Reports weekly broadcasts. She's covered national sporting events, including Super Bowl XLII and the Men's NCAA tournament in 2008.
Britt also interned at ABC News and Fox News in Washington. Britt holds a bachelor’s degree from Stetson University. At Stetson, Britt was a member of the school's Division I soccer team.
She grew up in Satellite Beach, Fla. and traveled all over the state playing competitive soccer. In her spare time, Britt loves watching baseball and football and is an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
