Lt. Gen. Mikhail T. Kalashnikov, the Russian military man credited with inventing the AK-47 automatic rifle, died Monday.
Mikhail Kalashnikov, whose work as a weapons designer for the Soviet Union is immortalized in the name of the world's most popular firearm, has died at the age of 94.
Authorities are looking for a man who shot at D.C. police with an AK-47 late Wednesday night.
