Hall of Famer Stan the Man won seven National League batting titles, was a three-time MVP, made the All-Star team 24 times, and helped the Cardinals capture three World Series championships. Musial, 92, was so revered in St. Louis, two statues of him stand outside Busch Stadium.

With the cloud of steroids shrouding many candidacies, no players were elected to Baseball's Hall of Fame by baseball writers Thursday, the first time voting came up empty since 1996.
