    The Boston Bruins made sure they didn't give away a big lead to Washington this time. They blew a 3-0 lead against the Capitals in Washington before losing 4-3 in overtime on March 5 in their only other meeting this season.

    The Caps are now in sole possession of eighth place in the Eastern Conference and trail Florida by one point in the Southeast Division. Washington improved to 20-0-0 when it leads after two periods.
