Larry L. King, 83, a prolific writer, playwright, and essayist died Thursday at Chevy Chase House in D.C. King, who came to Washington to work for a Texas Congressman, once lamented that the first line of his obituary would identify him as the author of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."
