The mayor of Damascus, Va. says he expects the insurer of a man whose car hit dozens of hikers during a parade to cover the victims' medical costs. Police say the 87-year-old driver had a medical issue that caused him to lose control of his car on May 18.
Authorities believe the driver who plowed into dozens of hikers marching in a Virginia mountain town parade suffered from a medical condition and did not cause the crash intentionally, an emergency official said Sunday.
