An investigation has found the District of Columbia government is allowing private investors to pursue foreclosure on hundreds of homes over unpaid tax bills, but many debts are less than $500. Many foreclosures target poor neighborhoods.
If you wanted to appeal a decision by the district, you would come to the Office of Administrative Hearings—though, getting your case heard by the Chief Judge there is unlikely.
