Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports that Darden Restaurants, the owner of The Olive Garden and a number of other high-visibility restaurant chains, will soon introduce a $9.99 burger to its menu nationwide.
Two volunteers who participated in the first public frying of hamburger grown in a lab said Monday that it had the texture of meat but was short of flavor because of the lack of fat.
It's no ordinary hamburger that two volunteer taste-testers are tucking into in London on Monday. The meat was grown in a laboratory, from cattle stem cells.
