In a sermon Sunday, the Very Rev. Gary Hall, the dean of Washington National Cathedral, said the church should have the courage to call homophobia and heterosexism a sin. He says "shaming people for whom they love is a sin."
The National Cathedral will host the premier of a documentary that details the life of Matthew Shepard, the University of Wyoming student who was brutally tortured and murdered for being gay.
