Annapolis thefts from cars rise sharply, officials say

Annapolis Police say they've seen an increase of nearly 60 percent in thefts from cars since the start of 2013. Year-to-date, there have been 38 more of this type of crime this year than there were at this time in 2012.

The Justice Department reports that just under 7 million adults were under some kind of supervision by federal, state or local corrections officers at the end of last year.
