Prince George's Hospital Center
Prince George's County's new hospital will cost more than $650 million to construct and complete and have fewer beds than originally anticipated, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The Prince George's County Council signaled that it will approve spending to support construction of a new hospital.
Prince George's County is replacing its financially hamstrung hospital in Cheverly with a brand new facility in Largo. The official announcement is expected Thursday morning at Prince George's Hospital Center.
Using the results of a year-long study, local and Prince George's County leaders and members of the medical and academic community announced the next step toward a new regional medical center.
