More than 3,000 customers in Maryland lost power Thursday morning, including elementary, middle, and high schools in Frederick County.
About 200 school buses in Fairfax County had mechanical problems Friday morning because of the freezing temperatures. Parents were asked to keep their kids out of the cold while waiting at bus stops.
