Kensington man killed in skiing accident at Snowmass

David Schreitmueller of Kensington, Md. died after he hit a tree at Snowmass in Colorado Friday morning. He was there to compete in the NASTAR National Championships, but he wasn't on the course at the time of the accident.

The 28-year-old star tore her anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in her right knee. U.S. team medical director Kyle Wilkens said in a statement. The broken bone in her lower leg was described as a "lateral tibial plateau fracture."
