Five keepers at the Smithsonian's National Zoo have a new title: bear mom. They're hand-raising a sloth bear cub. And with only 50 sloth bears in the United States, this cub's survival is extremely important.
The cub had to be removed from its mother for safety reasons, and zoo representatives say she is now healthy and thriving with their round-the-clock care.
