Snapchat says it plans to put out a more secure version of its application following a breach that allowed hackers to collect the usernames and phone numbers of some 4.6 million of its users.
About 4.6 million Snapchat users had their user names and phone numbers leaked by hackers, The Verge reports.
The fact that Facebook came calling to the founders of Snapchat with a $3 billion offer to purchase the popular messaging platform wasn't shocking on its own. It was Snapchat's response that stunned the tech world.
