Social workers, movers, program directors arrived this morning in several vehicles from the VA Medical Center to move about two dozen veterans out of their homes at the McDermott House. Many of the veterans refused to go.
VA closes housing program for homeless vets in D.C.

A VA housing program that has helped homeless vets get back on their feet is being terminated. Some of the vets at McDermott House are being moved to West Virginia, some to Southeast D.C.
