Virginia Election 2013
Election Day came and went with no clear winner in Virginia's attorney general race. Recounts continued Saturday with Obershain still in the lead. He gained 2039 votes, while Herring gained 2070.
Republican Mark Obenshain and Democrat Mark Herring remain in a dead heat in the race to be Virginia's next Attorney General.
Ralph Northam easily beat E.W. Jackson on Tuesday following a campaign that centered on Northam's defense of abortion rights and Jackson's Christian-based anti-abortion platform. Jackson also opposes gay marriage, while Northam supports it.
