This Memorial Day Weekend has been unlike many throughout the years in D.C. as sunshine, mild temperatures and dry conditions have dominated the forecast. Expect more of the same for this afternoon with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies. The warmth will hold through the evening and overnight as well, with lows in the 60s under mostly clear skies.

The big change this work week will be the noticeable increase in humidity, with dewpoints jumping into the mid and upper 60s, rather than the 50s to near 60 where they've been all weekend. High heat will continue throughout the 7-day forecast, with temperatures expected to reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees at least through next Monday.

Storms are also in the forecast each afternoon Tuesday through next Monday with the increased levels of moisture across the region. At this point, no organized severe weather is in the forecast but be sure to keep in mind if you have any outdoor plans in the evening hours this week to check Live Doppler radar before heading out.
