An area of high pressure will build across the mid-Atlantic bringing a cool weekend for the last day of autumn and first day of winter. Look for partly cloudy skies and highs in the 40s. By Monday, an area of low pressure moving up the coastline will likely bring areas of rain that may last into Tuesday. On Wednesday, Christmas Eve, a strong cold front will be approaching our area. It will become windy and much milder with rain likely throughout the day. Clearing and breezy conditions are forecast for Christmas Day.
